EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • For Flying Branch(Degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks & 12th passed with 60% marks in each Physics & Math’s).
  • For Ground Duty Non-Technical(degree of a recognized university with Physics, mathematics, chemistry, statistics, international relation, defense studies, Psychology, computer science, IT, Management, mass communication etc with a 50% marks in aggregate all papers put together in post graduation and 60% marks in graduation.
  • For Ground Duty Technical (Degree of a recognized University with 60% marks.
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION
  • Online written examination conducted by Indian Air Force.
  • AFSB interview by Air Force selection Board (AFSB).
AGE LIMIT/SEX/MARTIAL STATUS 20 to 2 years as on 01.01.2021(born between 02.01.1994 to 01.01.1998 including both dates).Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current commercial pilot License issued by DGCA(India) is relaxed upto 26 years i.e born between 02.01.1992 to 01.01.1998(both dates inclusive)

ABOUT AFCAT EXAM

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the IAF (except medical and dental)viz Flying branch (short service commission only),Technical Branch (Permanent commission and short service commission) and Ground Duty Branch(Permanent commission and short service commission).AFCAT is conducted twice a year (in the month of February and august).
